Bred by Wilhelm Nageler, this blue 2026 pigeon brings together direct descent from regional winner Ostwind, documented Barcelona-winning ancestry and a maternal branch featuring pigeons bred by Willy & San Vrancken, Eijerkamp, Leo Heremans and Stefan Lambrechts.
The sire, A 204-24-408, is bred from Günther Struckl’s A-204-20-584 and Günter Prange’s “Tochter Ostwind,” DV-07259-20-1185, bred for the 2020 special auction. Through this paternal grandmother, the auction pigeon is a great-grandchild of Ostwind, DV-07259-10-756, winner of 1st Regional against 4,550 pigeons. Ostwind was paired to Blue Fantasy, DV-07259-17-72, who also bred “1037,” ranked 3rd Ace Pigeon at FCI SUBER STAR in Romania—valuable supporting evidence of breeding quality in this branch.
The paternal grandfather, A-204-20-584, adds the pedigree’s recorded Prange, Ringloser 12 and Paula 5000 lines. His sire, A-204-19-137, is explicitly described as a son of a 1st National Barcelona winner. This places Barcelona-winning ancestry deeper in the paternal family without confusing that result with the performances of the auction pigeon or its parents.
The dam, “BLUE WONDER,” A 204-23-359, is a daughter of Walter Zerner’s “Donja Blue,” A-602-21-303, and “Gaby,” A-602-21-388. Gaby provides the documented Vrancken × Eijerkamp combination: her sire is Willy & San Vrancken’s B-18-5082166, while her dam is Eijerkamp’s “Smoky Chequer,” NL-19-1411968. Smoky Chequer herself is bred from a Leo Heremans cock and a Stefan Lambrechts hen. Donja Blue’s ancestry adds Freialdenhofen & Söhne, Hubert Mühlberger, Ernst Nebel and Jaak Koninx.

After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).
Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.
Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.
Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
