NL-2026-8463697 – “T. Koele en Zoon 697” is a chequer pigeon bred by T. Koele en Zoon, combining Rik Ros’s documented super pair with the accomplished marathon racers “Tonnie” and “Milou.” National results across Dax, St. Vincent, Libourne and Barcelona give this pedigree its distinctive long-distance appeal.
The sire, “Rik” (NL-2023-9329048), is a direct son of Rik Ros’s super pair: “Stamdoffer Gijs 27” (NL-2017-1296827) and the Jan Ouwerkerk-bred “Stammoedertje Ros” (NL-2016-1882610). His brothers and sisters are credited with 4th National Dax, 4th National St. Vincent and 4th National Libourne—a compelling record of close-family performance, also documented in the breeding records of both paternal grandparents.
The dam, NL-2024-8199046, is a direct daughter of “Tonnie” × “Milou.” Maternal grandmother “Milou” (NL-2018-1614560) delivered an outstanding Barcelona performance in 2022: 17th National against 4,842 pigeons, 32nd International against 16,832 pigeons and 16th International Hens against 6,168 hens. These are three rankings from the same Barcelona race, placing a proven international performer just two generations behind the offered pigeon.
Maternal grandfather “Tonnie” (NL-2016-1097494), bred by A.J. van Dam, adds 8th NPO St. Vincent and 9th NPO Dax, together with the title of Marathon Pigeon Champion, Section 8 GOU, 2019.
Further depth comes through great-grandmother “Super 827” (NL-2015-1404827), 5th National St. Vincent. The paternal ancestry also includes Jan Ouwerkerk’s foundation family through “De 13,” a grandchild of foundation pigeon “De 55,” and “Super 063,” bred from his foundation pair. An attractive combination for the marathon enthusiast seeking documented racing quality alongside established breeding strength.
