“Avi Torvi” — NLD 26-8578435 is a chequer hen bred by Gerben Knol, combining the New Hope–Torvi family of Kl. de Jong en Zn with Johan de Vries breeding centred on Chaterouxje and Olympic Nicole. A granddaughter of both Torvi and Chaterouxje, she brings together national ace-pigeon distinction, major NPO performances and documented breeding strength.
Her sire, NL 23-9557552, “Zoon New Hope &Torvi”, was bred directly from New Hope paired to Torvi. Her paternal grandmother Torvi, NL 20-1053712, achieved:
- 1st National Ace Pigeon, yearlings, PIPA ranking.
- 3rd National Ace Pigeon, all-round, PIPA ranking.
Paternal grandfather New Hope, NL 14-4262120, adds substantial breeding evidence. His children and/or grandchildren recorded 3rd Provincial BOXM against 20,327 pigeons and 3rd NPO Châlons against 6,004 pigeons. Behind Torvi, Avi Torvi is also a great-granddaughter of Genetic, NL 18-5166962, bred by G. & S. Verkerk, and Fionella, B 13-6302946, bred by Danny Van Dyck—clear, direct connections to these two breeding sources.
Her dam, “Lady wit oog Nicole,” NLD 22-8099243, was bred by Johan de Vries from Mitoog Nicole and Chaterouxje. Maternal grandmother Chaterouxje, NLD 17-1672489, distinguished herself with 2nd NPO Châteauroux against 1,920 pigeons and 11th Ace Pigeon WHZB/TBOTB in 2019. Maternal grandfather Mitoog Nicole, NLD 15-1259533, is the sire of Kras Lady, winner of 3rd NPO Châteaudun against 2,148 pigeons; this is supporting family performance, not a result attributed to Avi Torvi’s dam.
Avi Torvi is furthermore a great-granddaughter of Olympic Nicole, NLD 10-1144563, bred by Henri van den Berg and recorded as a 2013 Olympiad pigeon in Category C, long distance. Olympic Nicole appears again deeper in the maternal pedigree through her son Kleintje Nicole. With Torvi’s national ace rankings on one side and Chaterouxje’s NPO quality on the other, Avi Torvi offers a pedigree anchored by accomplished hens and proven producing ancestors.

Payment Instructions:
After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).
Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.
Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.
Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
