Avirings Babe 008 — BE-2026-5050008 is a blue pigeon bred by Jos Thoné, combining documented Avirings OLR performances with a pedigree featuring Derby Arona final winner Jenka, the Pattaya Avril family and the productive Apollo × Lena pairing.
At Avirings OLR 2026, Avirings Babe 008 recorded:
- 76th against 2,471 pigeons over 182 km, R2.
- 265th against 2,313 pigeons over 325 km, R4.
- 234th against 1,790 pigeons over 501 km, FNL1.
The father, Pattaya Jenka 418, is a direct son of Jenka, BE-2023-4153597, bred by Geert & Koen Couvreur. Jenka won 1st in the Derby Arona final in 2024, with 322 birds competing in the final from an original field of 1,112. Avirings Babe 008 is therefore a grandchild of this final winner. The paternal grandfather, Pattaya Avros 257, is recorded as the nest brother of Pattaya Avril, which achieved 2nd, equal 1st, in the 530 km Pattaya PIPR final against 6,101 pigeons in 2024/2025. This branch carries the explicitly documented AVRIL/CROW bloodline.
The mother, Sister Babe 202, is a daughter of Apollo Superbreeder × Lena and the full sister of Babe. This close family connection is a major attraction: Babe earned 3rd National Ace Pigeon KBDB in 2017, 1st National Ace Pigeon LCB, speed, and ten first prizes in speed racing. These are the achievements of the mother's full sister, not of the auction pigeon.
National racing quality is also present among the direct ancestors: maternal grandmother Lena won 6th National Libourne against 3,697 pigeons, while great-grandfather Jonker achieved 10th National Argenton against 13,720 pigeons. Avirings Babe 008 offers an appealing combination of its own OLR results, a final-winning grandmother and close ties to a distinguished ace-pigeon family.
