LUCKY DIVA 425 — NL-2026-8199425 combines its own Avirings Derby performance with a pedigree built around G. & S. Verkerk racers and breeders. In the 2026 Avirings Derby, this pigeon finished 52nd against 1,790 pigeons in Final 1 and ranked 18th Ace Pigeon.
A standout full-sister result reinforces the appeal: 26-472, recorded as a daughter of both the same sire and dam, placed 7th against 11,966 pigeons in the 60 km Pattaya training flight. Close-family success also includes half-sister 25-803, a four-time first-prize winner from 107 to 333 km, and half-sister 25-833, which achieved 14th NPO Sens against 2,698 pigeons. The latter is also the mother of 26-321, 2nd Young Bird Sprint Ace Pigeon, Afdeling 3 Oost-Brabant—valuable evidence of breeding strength within the immediate family.
The sire, LUCKY BASTARDxDIVA, NL-2024-8413920, was bred by G. & S. Verkerk from two accomplished racers. Paternal grandsire LUCKY BASTARD recorded 6th Pt.St.Max against 35,038 pigeons, while paternal granddam DIVA ranked 12th National Allround Ace Pigeon in 2023. Behind LUCKY BASTARD stands great-grandsire VOLCANO, winner of 2nd National Châteauroux against 47,539 pigeons in 2016. DIVA also introduces a documented C. & G. Koopman-bred ancestor through her mother, NL-2019-1244603.
The dam, LOOK A LIKE x MONICA, NL-2024-8413911, was likewise bred by G. & S. Verkerk. Her mother, MONICA, was 1st Combine Middle-Distance Ace Pigeon in 2022 and placed 6th National S2 Tours against 7,782 pigeons. MONICA is herself a daughter of PRINCESS, recorded as 1st National Long-Distance Ace Pigeon EFS.
Documented Derby results, a high-placing full sister and national-level quality across both sides of the pedigree make LUCKY DIVA 425 an attractive prospect for fanciers seeking performance-backed Verkerk ancestry.
