A609-26-490 “Avirings Derby”, bred by K. Nöres, combines two generations of documented derby performers with established Horemans/Wieden and Vandenabeele ancestry. The headline attraction is its pairing of maternal grandmother “Golden Skydiver”, winner of the Winterrace Sevilla final, with paternal grandmother Miss “SOLO”, a 330 km Tatry-Derby winner.
The dam, DV8396-25-603, bred by Uwe Tubach, competed in the 2025 Avirings Derby, recording results in all three long-distance final stages:
- 167th in the first final over 508 km.
- 129th in the second final over 500 km.
- 272nd in the third final over 500 km.
She is a direct daughter of “Golden Skydiver” DV1931-23-386, whose record at the 2023/2024 Winterrace Sevilla includes 1st in the 509 km final against 852 pigeons and 4th Ace Pigeon. The pedigree also records €31,250 in winnings for this outstanding hen.
The sire, A609-24-184, was bred specifically for stock and is a direct son of Miss “SOLO” A612-18-1136, winner of 1st over 330 km at the 2018 Tatry-Derby. His father, A609-22-598, adds documented breeding strength: he sired “257”, which achieved 17th in the 2025 Derby Halkidiki final against 909 pigeons over 410 km. Further back in this direct paternal line stands “ASS TATRY” A612-19-303, 8th Ace Pigeon at the 2019 Tatry Derby.
The underlying breeding includes Horemans/Wieden through “885er” A612-13-885 and the Horemans/Vandenabeele hen A612-14-587, both parents of Miss “SOLO”. This branch also traces to DV8872-12-358, recorded in the pedigree as a grandchild of Neptunus. A compelling family-based offering, bringing together final-winning grandparents, proven production and repeated performances around 500 km.
