“Red Sun” – DV-2026-2055-12 is a red hen combining Gebr. Leideman and Leo Heremans bloodlines with a closely linebred Vollmer/Vorspohl branch and a substantial Geerinckx foundation on her mother’s side. Her pedigree’s principal attractions are the repeated presence of “die 230”, a direct ancestor with two documented race wins, and clearly traced connections to several named Geerinckx pigeons.

Her sire, “Leo” – DV-2025-3201-706, is bred from “Grey Speedy Grizzle” and “Lost Son x Pokerass 38”. “Grey Speedy Grizzle” brings together the Gebr. Leideman cock NL-2022-8229829 and the Leo Heremans hen NL-2020-1249019, described in the pedigree as closely bred to “Rosie”. This establishes the Leideman–Heremans connection through Red Sun’s paternal grandfather.

The Vollmer/Vorspohl branch is concentrated around “die 230” – DV-2011-1549-230. Red Sun’s paternal grandmother, DV-2024-1549-1498, is bred from two children of this hen. Her sire, DV-2014-1549-553, recorded two 1st prizes and is a son of “Lost Son” of the Hagedorn Becker line paired to “die 230”. Her dam, DV-2021-3038-111, is a daughter of the documented foundation pair 387 × 230; cock 387 is recorded as “Sohn Pokerface” of the Helmut Schulz line. This gives Red Sun two direct pedigree routes to the same influential hen.

Red Sun’s mother, 02055-20-528, adds the Geerinckx connection through her sire 03835-17-401, bred from “Der Rote Geerinckx” × “Witte Elaine 1”. Behind these stand “Roode 09”, “Wittekop Willy”, “Bonte Gerinx” and “Barts Elaine”. A distinctive pedigree proposition for buyers seeking this combination of Leideman–Heremans ancestry, concentrated Vollmer/Vorspohl breeding and Geerinckx blood.

Matthias Bevermann from Versmold, Germany, showed strong competitiveness in the AviRings Derby PRO 2026, led by DV-2026-02055-17 finishing 20th against 2,313 pigeons in Race 4 over approximately 325 km. The team also achieved 53rd from 2,471 pigeons in Race 2 with DV-2026-02055-14 and top-10% results in Race 1 and Race 3. In the 521 km Final Race 3/3, Bevermann placed two pigeons in the result list, including 328th and 338th from 998 pigeons. His best overall competition highlights include 119th in “Champion of the Nations” and 392nd in the 3x500 classification.
