BG BG-26-78164 — a pedigree combining close-family one-loft race results with documented Ganus, Finn, Kittel, Prange and Vandenabeele connections. This pigeon is bred from “ALFA” and “SKITTEL 6”, bringing together a successful Algarve finalist and a hen whose full brother excelled in the Algarve Golden OLR final.
Outstanding half-sibling results are a central attraction:
- BG 45526-24: 5th in the 755 km Special Race.
- BG 45527-24: 6th in the Corabia Sp. final against 1,113 pigeons over 530 km.
- BG-21-54626: 15th Ace Pigeon in a field of 8,747 at Pattaya, together with 100th in the 530 km final against 4,033 pigeons.
These three documented paternal half-siblings demonstrate the breeding strength of the sire, “ALFA”, BG BG-20-44739. ALFA himself achieved 42nd in the Algarve Golden Race final against 3,036 pigeons over 496 km—a substantial performance supporting the results of his offspring.
The dam’s full-brother performance adds another major selling point. “SKITTEL 6”, 05536-24-6, bred by Altmix Racing Pigeon, is a full sister to “Fast Finn”, 3rd in the Algarve Golden OLR final against 3,622 pigeons, arriving with the first drop. Her father, “Checker Finn”, BE-2021-4201767, bred by Tom van Gaver, is explicitly recorded as a full brother to “FINN”. Her mother, “FRANSA”, traces directly through “S-KITTEL”, BE-2015-4264387, a documented son of Kittel bred by Dirk van den Bulck, and the Janssen hen “GONE WILD”.
The paternal foundation is equally noteworthy. Grandmother AU-2018-GFL-35, recorded as original Ganus family, is a full sister to “Said in Spun Silver”, 2nd in the SAMDPR final in 2013, and a daughter of “STRAIN MAKER” × “BLUE DIAMOND”. Paternal grandfather “Julja”, DV-2014-02618-439, bred by Karl-Heinz Wichert, also sired 26363-BG-18, 3rd in the 500 km Corabia-Spain final in 2018. Julja combines Gunter Prange breeding with “Bliksem Qeen”, explicitly described as a granddaughter of Vandenabeele’s Bliksem.
A compelling family-based offering, with the strongest evidence coming from its sire’s own final result, successful half-siblings and the dam’s high-performing full brother.
