NL 26-8465679 — a blue pigeon bred by Roland & Erlinde Wolff, combining the Helena–Dave family with the Elzinga breeding lines. A direct youngster of “ODIN” × “SAGE”, with documented racing quality through its mother, a winning maternal grandmother and an accomplished full brother of its maternal grandfather.
The mother, “SAGE” (NL 23-9081441), bred by Wim Scholten, recorded 4th Chimay against 861 pigeons and 133rd NPO Soisson against 22,782 pigeons. She is a daughter of the Elzinga pair “Young inbreed Esmee” × “Miss Venlo”. The latter, NL 20-1022843, won 1st S-Prov Venlo against 770 pigeons as a young bird, adding a direct winning grandmother to this pedigree.
The father, “ODIN” (NL 23-9186712), brings together the Helena and Dave branches. His paternal ancestry includes “Jip” (NL 11-2027680), a brother of “Helena”, and “Helma” (NL 13-1052004), a sister of “Helena”. This is a documented connection through Helena’s siblings, rather than direct descent from Helena herself. The pedigree credits Helena with Olympiad recognition at Nitra in 2013, 2nd National Ace Pigeon sprint in 2012, 1st Duffel against 8,728 pigeons and 1st Nanteuil against 3,060 pigeons.
Further substantial family evidence comes through the maternal grandfather, “Young inbreed Esmee” (NL 21-1450770). His explicitly recorded full brother, identified in the source as “19-623”, achieved 3rd Provincial Long-Distance Ace Pigeon and 16th NPO Châteaudun against 2,625 pigeons. These are the brother’s performances, underlining the quality of the grandfather’s immediate family.
The breeding pattern is equally noteworthy: “Dave” (NL 14-1781509) appears twice in the paternal ancestry, while “Inbred Esmee” (NL 16-1003331) appears twice on the maternal side. Direct ancestral links also include pigeons bred by Gebr. Leideman, C & G Koopman and Jan Hooymans. A thoughtfully connected pedigree offering maternal race performance, close-family ace-pigeon credentials and repeated breeding influences.
