“Barnsley” – Dan 242-26-268 is a chequer pigeon combining documented Dutch and Belgian marathon blood with a Danish family distinguished by national long-distance performances. A direct youngster of “Logan” × “Suzan”, Barnsley brings together the Barcelona El Cid, Ted and Miss Wonderfull branches, supported by outstanding results among the parents’ close relatives.

The sire, “Logan” (Dan 242-24-1639), is bred from “Adrian”, a son of Barcelona El Cid, and the Winkens/Rothenburg hen “Swift”, a daughter of Ted. Barnsley is therefore a great-grandchild of both these national winners:

  • Barcelona El Cid: 1st National Barcelona 2018 over 1,151 km and 4th International against 15,700 pigeons for Jacky de Bruine.
  • Ted: 1st National Agen 2021 against 6,760 pigeons over 855 km for Winkens-Rothenburg.

Logan also shares his sire with Dan 242-22-772, the hen that won the region from Rouen in 2024 by a margin of 43 minutes and finished 3rd National against 351 pigeons over 1,032 km. This provides valuable recent performance evidence from Barnsley’s paternal family.

The dam, “Suzan” (Dan 242-24-1665), belongs to a particularly successful long-distance sibling family. Her sisters’ national performances are a major attraction of this pedigree:

  • Dan 242-21-954: 2nd National Völklingen 2025 over 813 km and 3rd National Baden-Baden 2025 over 814 km.
  • Dan 242-21-905: regional winner from Munich in 2024 with a lead of 1 hour 25 minutes, 4th National over 832 km and winner of the Herbots Golden Wing.

Breeding strength is reinforced by great-granddam “Miss Wonderfull”. The pedigree credits her offspring with 41 Top-30 NPO/ZLU prizes, including “Lotte”, 1st National Bordeaux 2014 against 12,152 pigeons over 820 km, and “Floortje”, 1st National Tarbes 2015 against 5,410 pigeons over 952 km.

The wider ancestry also records direct descent from New Witbuik, a paternal connection to Lloyd and Miss New Laureaat, and a maternal connection to New Laureaat and Kleine Jade. Barnsley offers an appealing combination of established marathon ancestry and recent national-level success in the close family.

Team Lisbet & Kim, represented in the results as Kim Hansen, has delivered standout AviRings Derby PRO 2026 performances, led by 3rd, 4th and 7th in the Champion of the Nations ranking. Their pigeon DAN-2026-242-0242 also achieved 10th in the 3x500 competition and 35th in Average Speed, while DAN-2026-242-0258 ranked 47th Ace Pigeon and 50th Average Speed. In race results, the team scored 28th against 2,471 pigeons from 180 km and added strong final-race finishes including 40th and 51st against 998 pigeons over 521 km. Payment Instructions:
After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).

Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.

Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.

Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
