DAN-2026-087-1105 — Jos Joosen bloodlines paired with Henrik Larsen’s marathon family. This 2026 pigeon brings together a dam bred by and purchased directly from Jos Joosen with a sire whose full brother flew from Rouen, France, to northern Jutland as a yearling—a journey of more than 1,000 km.

The dam, BE-2023-6063034, provides the strongest Barcelona credentials. Her sire, BE-2013-6025882, is recorded as a son of pigeons placed 4th and 5th National Barcelona, making these national performers great-grandparents of the auction pigeon. The maternal family also records a hen that flew Barcelona five times and Perpignan five times: notable evidence of repeated participation over these long-distance routes.

The sire, 128-24-0647, was bred by Henrik Larsen from 046-17-0046 and 211-17-1048, both also credited to Larsen. His full brother’s 1,000 km-plus yearling flight is a particularly relevant family credential. The pedigree additionally records Henrik Larsen’s Danish marathon championship in 2024—a loft achievement that adds context to this paternal background.

A pedigree-led prospect for the long-distance enthusiast, combining directly sourced Jos Joosen breeding, National Barcelona results among its direct ancestors and close paternal evidence of yearling marathon capability.

Team SkyRacers DK, represented by Malthe Kaplan, delivered standout performances in both race and competition rankings. The team’s leading highlight was 5th in “Champion of the Nations” with DAN-2026-087-1102, supported by further nation rankings of 11th and 19th. In the 521 km Final Race 3/3, DAN-2026-087-1102 achieved 61st against 998 pigeons, while other notable results included 160th/2,417 from 255 km and 172nd/2,206 from 405 km. These results show a loft capable of producing pigeons with endurance, consistency, and competitive one-loft-race potential.
