HIGHLANDER 26-1458 — ABIG-26-1458 is a grizzle pigeon bred by Tamara and Uwe Wollitzer of the Wings to fly One Loft Racing Team. This pedigree combines the documented one-loft performances of its dam, Highlander 24-2606, with the breeding record of its sire, Simon 239, supported by Simon Rausch’s foundation family and Peter Keogh’s Highlander branch.
The dam’s own results are a central attraction. Highlander 24-2606, ring 03395-24-2606, achieved:
- 10th Long-Distance Ace Pigeon, As Golden OLR 2025.
- 21st in the 443 km final against 744 pigeons.
- 8th in the 326 km semifinal against 870 pigeons.
Her family adds further depth: she is recorded as a sibling to the 3rd Ace Pigeon at Pigeon Derby Istanbul 2021 and the 6th Ace Pigeon at Milan Best 2022. These close-family ace rankings complement her own final and semifinal performances.
The sire, Simon 239, ring 02241-19-239, bred by Simon Rausch, is the father of the 1st Ace Pigeon before the final at Derby Europa Star 2024. This is specifically a pre-final ranking. His breeding record also includes offspring placed 5th KK in the first 133 km race at OLR Costa del Sol 2022 and 10th KK in the first 160 km race at OLR Milan Best 2021. His paternal heritage carries Uwe Wollitzer’s old grizzle family, while his mother is a daughter of Simon Rausch’s foundation pair: Henrik Falke-bred 04058-14-1265 and the foundation hen 02241-14-282.
On the maternal side, HIGHLANDER 26-1458 is a grandchild of HIGHLANDER 1952, SU-2017-CA-1952, bred by Peter Keogh in Scotland, and Kleine Tami, 02241-20-288, bred by Uwe Wollitzer. HIGHLANDER 1952 is a son of Mac Alone and the Helmut Klaas & Son-bred BLACK POWER 799. Through Mac Alone, this branch descends from Bonnie Lass, GB-2006-E-27999, credited in the pedigree with producing numerous winners at Norton View.
The wider ancestry also includes Marcel Wouters-bred Witpen Leeuw on the paternal side and Rudi Diels-bred BLUE SKY through the maternal Paris branch. An appealing family-based offering, bringing together a performing dam, documented ace-pigeon relatives and a sire with successful one-loft offspring.
