BE-2026-6167847 “Avirings”, bred by Hok Erik Reijnen, brings together the Zagato family, Arie Dijkstra’s Leonardo–Tinkelbel branch and documented one-loft racing results. Its strongest close-family recommendation comes from nestmate 26-6167848, which achieved two notable placings at AGD Summer 2026:
- 21st in the 328 km semi-final against 2,448 pigeons.
- 37th in the 501 km final against 1,337 pigeons.
The sire, NL-2022-2227980, bred by Reijnen-Bolton-Hoogh, is also the documented father of this successful nestmate. He is a son of “Tommeke” NL-2016-3633716, bred by G.J. de Hoogh & Zn and winner of 1st Morlincourt against 873 pigeons and 1st Creil against 705 pigeons. Tommeke’s ancestry includes “Mister Veenstra”, with Pieter Veenstra-bred pigeons behind him.
The dam, “Zagato Bleu 16” NL-2021-1283816, adds another important close-family performance: her sister recorded 19th in the 505 km final against 3,622 pigeons and 24th Overall Ace Pigeon in a field of 7,102 at the 2022 Algarve Golden Race. Zagato Bleu 16 is bred from Jan Simons’ “Jong Gebroken Teen”, recorded as Zagato strain, and “Daughter ZAGATO”, a daughter of “ZAGATO” NL-2011-3021704 and “Zotten Lady” BE-2013-6055246. Zotten Lady was 1st Provincial Allround Ace Pigeon in 2015.
ZAGATO appears on both sides of Avirings’ pedigree. The paternal grandmother, “ZAGATO x TINKELBEL”, is bred from “Son ZAGATO” and Arie Dijkstra’s “Sweet Tinkelbel” NL-2010-1029918. Sweet Tinkelbel, a daughter of “Leonardo” × “Tinkelbel”, bred a car winner at Derby Arona 2014. The maternal ancestry also records Sissi-strain blood through G. van der Pluym. A pedigree combining race-winning ancestors, ace-pigeon quality and, above all, directly documented nestmate performance over 328 and 501 km.
