“503” – NL-2026-8161503 is a chequer pigeon bred by Team de Hoogh, combining the national long-distance performance of the NINA family with the ADWIN–Leo Heremans and G. & S. Verkerk branches. Recorded for AVIRINGS OLR 2026, this bird is a grandchild of NINA, 2nd National St. Vincent against 13,472 pigeons, and a great-grandchild of NPO winner LIENEKE.
The sire, NL-2022-2212778, is bred from A.P. Overwater’s “883 VAN AP” and “NINA” NL-2014-3424689. NINA’s national St. Vincent performance provides a particularly strong foundation, while her mother “TOOS” adds an established breeding family. The Overwater connection brings further national-winning ancestry: “883 VAN AP” is recorded as a grandson of “THE NIGHT LADY,” 1st National Agen with a 120-minute lead.
The dam, “748” NL-2025-2507748, provides another important selling point through her documented half-siblings. Their results include:
- 7th NPO Pt.St.Max against 12,101 pigeons over 305 km.
- 4th Melun against 2,383 pigeons, also 14th NPO against 11,751 pigeons.
- 35th National Issoudun against 7,163 pigeons over 560 km.
“748” is a daughter of “LATE SON ADWIN”, himself bred from “D’N ADWIN” NL-2015-3517104 and “LIENEKE” NL-2020-2005183. LIENEKE won 1st NPO Chateaudun against 6,277 pigeons in 2020. ADWIN is recorded as 75% Leo Heremans and inbred to EURO; his descendants are credited in the pedigree with 121 first prizes, including 1st NPO Melun against 16,023 pigeons.
The maternal grandmother, NL-2022-8459793, was bred by G. & S. Verkerk from “JOHN TRAVOLTA” × “AURELIA” and is the mother of the successful half-siblings listed above. This gives “503” a persuasive combination of national long-distance ancestry, major NPO-winning blood and close-family performance across 305–560 km.

Payment Instructions:
After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).
Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.
Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.
Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
