This chequer pigeon combines its own documented results with a strong-performing dam and an accomplished maternal grandfather. At AviRings 2026, it finished 48th in Race 5 against 2,206 pigeons over 501 km and ranked 43rd Ace Pigeon in the 3 × 500 km category.
The dam, NL-23-7083048, bred by Jonny Ekkel, provides particularly compelling performance credentials. At AviRings she achieved 8th in the 421 km semifinal against 1,326 pigeons, 62nd in the final against 826 pigeons, 3rd Ace Pigeon Race Cup and 7th Ace Pigeon by average speed. These results give the offered pigeon a direct maternal connection to both high individual placings and series-level achievement.
The sire, DV 01699-23-659, bred by Neuhaus & Sohn, is a son of “Sam” and the Gebr. Leideman hen NL-22-8076462, recorded as a granddaughter of “GOED GRIJS”. Sam is bred from “Jack,” a son of the loft’s highly regarded breeding hen “Prinzessin,” paired with “LEIDE” NL-18-1459443 of Gebr. Leideman. The paternal grandmother is herself bred from “GRIZZLE ART” and a full sister to “RAISSA”, adding further clearly documented Leideman connections.
On the maternal side, grandfather NL-20-1444405, bred by Ronald Lobee, was 1st Short-Distance Ace Pigeon in the combine in 2021 and recorded 3rd Tongeren against 3,021 pigeons and 8th Dizy against 2,423 pigeons. The maternal pedigree also includes Kees Nijeboer’s “De Strakke,” Mark van den Berg’s recorded Gucci × Bakker breeding, and a Scofield × Highlight branch. An attractive combination of personal 501 km performance, a successful AviRings dam and documented Dutch breeding depth.

Payment Instructions:
After the auction closes (within 24 hours), the winning bidder will receive an email with a purchase confirmation and payment instructions. Please note that the total bid amount will be increased by the applicable VAT (11%).
Collection:
Collection from AviRings is possible after payment during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you wish to have your purchased pigeon(s) collected by another person (such as a friend, acquaintance, or transporter), please inform us in advance via email at info@avirings.com.
Shipping:
Shipment is possible after payment has been received. Transport costs are not included in the purchase price and must be paid separately.
Transport Options:
In November, we will organize pigeon transport to Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Croatia. The transport cost will depend on the number of pigeons, approximately €10–15 per pigeon. Pigeons can also be collected at the Kassel Fair in Germany (November 28–29), or one day prior in the Netherlands and Belgium.
