Auction-friendly pigeon with documented final-race performance and multiple overall rankings.

“Finn Luc” — BE-2026-4100728 is a chequer hen bred by V. Gaver & A. Abajo, combining Tom Van Gaver’s FINN family with the documented racing and breeding strength of Alberto Abajo and Luc & Hilde Sioen. Her standout close-family credential is her relationship to Alessia, 1st National Ace Pigeon RFCE Long Distance 2026.

Half-sister to Alessia: racing as a yearling, Alessia paired her national ace title with two outstanding regional victories:

  • 1st Regional against 6,305 pigeons over 354 km.
  • 1st Regional against 3,692 pigeons over 641 km.

Finn Luc is a daughter of “Ringlose Finn”, bred by Tom Van Gaver, and “Hilde” — BE-2023-2043719, bred by Alberto Abajo. Hilde is both a successful racer and a documented producer of winners. Her own record includes 2nd in the National Sport International Category G championship, 2024, and 4th Regional against 4,817 pigeons over 503 km. The pedigree also records national championship success among her offspring, providing valuable breeding evidence behind this mating.

Direct FINN and New Tetske ancestry: through her paternal grandmother “New Finn’s Tetske”, Finn Luc is a great-granddaughter of FINN — BE-2015-4211540, described in the pedigree as Tom Van Gaver’s principal foundation pigeon, and of “New Tetske” — BE-2021-4201732, 1st National Ace Pigeon KBDB Long Distance, old birds, 2023. Her paternal grandfather, “The Eye of Finn”, is bred from the recorded Cock FINN Pair and Hen FINN Pair, reinforcing the FINN-family connection through a second paternal branch.

The maternal side adds further proven breeding depth. Her grandfather “Luc” — BE-2022-3086017, bred by Luc & Hilde Sioen, is the father of the 1st AFRIKAPRO semi-final winner against 1,753 pigeons in 2024. Her great-grandmother “Eva” — BE-2016-3103758 is the grandmother of Parro, a 1st National winner against 11,801 pigeons. Through “Kittel’s Soontjens” and the explicitly recorded son of KITTEL, Finn Luc is also a great-great-granddaughter of KITTEL.

A compelling pedigree selection: a half-sister to a national long-distance ace, directly descended from FINN and New Tetske, with a successful racing mother and additional national-winning and one-loft breeding credentials in the maternal family.

Team Tom Van Gaver & Alberto Abajo have built a strong AviRings Derby record, highlighted by 3rd against 2,049 pigeons in AviRings Derby PRO 2025 Race 2 with BE-2025-4056727. Their results also include 5th against 2,313 pigeons in AviRings Derby PRO 2026 Race 4 and 25th against 1,264 pigeons in the AviRings Derby 2024 Final Race. In competition rankings, the team achieved 8th AviRings Ace Pigeon in 2024 and 17th AviRings Ace Pigeon in AviRings Derby PRO 2025. The 2026 campaign further confirmed depth, with 20th in Champion of the Nations and strong 3x500 placements including 52nd and 56th.
