A proven 2026 Derby performer with multiple recorded results across demanding race distances.

NL-2026-8210718 — a blue pigeon bred by S & J. Rans/Wijnands, combining the Jef Barcelona family with documented H. Wijnands & Zn Dax performance. Its pedigree brings together repeated connections to the international Barcelona winner Jef, the Ed and Jef stock lines of S & J. Rans, and Brouwers/Noël Peiren ancestry.

The outstanding reference is Jef, BE-2016-2051063: 1st International Barcelona in 2019 against 16,051 pigeons. Jef is this bird’s great-great-grandfather through the maternal grandmother, “602 kld. JEF,” and her sire BE-2019-2027314, a documented son of Jef. The same son of Jef also appears in the paternal grandmother’s ancestry, reinforcing this important connection on both sides of the pedigree.

The maternal grandfather, “377 Stijn & J. Rans,” NL-2021-2144377, is explicitly recorded as a half-brother to Jef. His sire is “EDDY,” BE-2014-2324365, the father of the international Barcelona winner. Thus, the maternal side combines direct descent from Jef with a separate branch through his proven sire.

On the paternal side, great-grandfather “de 490,” NL-2019-1061490, bred by H. Wijnands & Zn, recorded 142nd National Dax against 11,124 pigeons, with a listed National Sector 1B placing of 61st against 3,386 pigeons. The sire of the auction bird, “620,” NL-2024-2426620, adds his own racing evidence, including 17th Chimay against 315 pigeons and 832nd Sens against 5,177 pigeons.

The dam, “de 544 Lijn Jef,” NL-2025-1406544, completes a pairing firmly rooted in the Rans family. A pedigree-led offering whose main appeal lies in its repeated Jef connections, the breeding influence of Eddy, and the supporting national Dax performance in the Wijnands branch.

Henk van Limpt - Prut of Reusel, Netherlands, has shown strong large-field OLR performance in the AviRings Derby PRO series. His standout race result is 41st against 2,417 pigeons in Race 3 over approximately 255 km in 2026 with NL-2026-8210732, finishing in the top 2%. In 2025, NL-2025-1406529 ranked 38th in the AviRings Ace Pigeon competition and also scored 53rd against 1,349 pigeons over 320 km. The 2026 team added notable overall results with 21st and 23rd in Champion of the Nations and top-100 final-stage results over 501 km.
