BE-2026-6164333 — a direct youngster of “The Rock”, combining repeated ace-pigeon honours with the Superflor family and documented Leo Heremans ancestry. Bred by Van Staeyen–De Bruyn, this pigeon brings together strong racing credentials on the paternal side and a close connection to a highly regarded breeder on the maternal side.
The sire, “The Rock” BE-2020-6190970, demonstrated consistency across three seasons:
- 1st Ace Pigeon as a youngster in 2020.
- 1st Ace Pigeon, Pulderbos, in 2021.
- 1st Ace Pigeon, Pulderbos, and 2nd Ace Pigeon, Samenspel Rondom Beerse, in 2022.
The Rock is a son of “Superflor” BE-2012-6068986, bred by F. & J. Van Staeyen and described in the pedigree as a foundation sire. Superflor’s own results reinforce this branch: 2nd against 2,980 pigeons and 4th against 1,644 as a youngster, followed by 1st against 884 and 1st against 954 as a yearling. His ancestry includes the Gommer Leysen foundation-pair line. The paternal grandmother is “Supermarina” BE-2015-6209727, bred by Marina Struyf and identified as an outstanding breeding hen and the mother of The Rock.
The dam, BE-2024-6069926, bred by Jef Lenaerts, is explicitly recorded as a full sister to the top breeder 20/6190510. This is an important breeding-family connection. Her sire, BE-2014-6278179, is described as a very good Noyon racer and a member of a leading breeding pair; his parents bring in Patrick Boeckx and Cop-Gijsbrechts, including the hen BE-2012-6276947, recorded as an ace pigeon in 2012. The maternal grandmother, BE-2015-6249857, bred by Leo Vercammen, is explicitly recorded as having direct Leo Heremans ancestry.
A pedigree-led prospect with a clear combination of repeated parental ace rankings, a double-winning grandfather and a dam closely related to a noted breeder.
